Jocelyn is a direct descendant of Judith Gilbert through Samuel Cory (1732-1782). Samuel's son John Cory had nine children of whom his three sons went to New South Wales. One of these was Gilbert Cory (Jocelyn's great grandfather)
These Cory settlers used names of family significance for their estates in Australia, such as Vacy (named after the Vacy estate in North Tamerton) and Tackbeare.
